Emergency Response Plan

Example of text that may be presented in your iEMS

In compliance with legislation and in recognition of its obligations, Company will develop Emergency Response Plans for their facilities and infrastructure.

An ERP outlines the immediate actions to be taken in the event of an emergency that may endanger health, safety, the environment or property.

ERPs have been prepared to cover the geographical area within which the Company’s facilities are located; the interrelated pipelines tied back to product delivery points; and the well-heads and their related flow-lines.

The emergency management measures for the facilities and infrastructure presented in the ERP are designed to encompass both natural and man-made emergencies.

An ERP does not cover the emergency procedures to be taken by the contractors completing activities such as drilling, work-over and completion. Before contracted, the activity-related contractors should have their own procedures in place. However, an ERP can be designed to interact with the individual contractors’ emergency response plans.

Please familiarize yourself with Company’s ERPs, learn the 4 Principles of Emergency Management and include them in your project planning for day-to-day activities.
